I HaI Haven’t Figured This Out Yet
So… I’ve decided to start writing about something I’m still figuring out myself.
Weight loss.
Three years ago, I had gastric sleeve surgery. I lost a lot of weight, but over the years I’ve also gained a significant amount of it back.
And honestly?
I haven’t figured this out yet.
I’m a wellness practitioner. I know a lot about healing, the nervous system, self-care, food and diet and listening to your body — but knowing something and actually living it are two very different things.
So instead of pretending I have all the answers, I’m going to share the journey as I go.
No strict diet.No pretending I’m perfect. No miracle promises.
Just me taking it one step at a time, paying attention to my body, my habits, my emotions and the things that make me reach for food when I might not actually be hungry and the constant cravings for sugar.
My first little step?
I’ve stopped drinking coffee. ☕️ since my heart attack almost 2 years ago I already don't drink "normal" coffee anymore... but since a couple of months now I stopped all together.
At the moment I am on holiday and to "join in" I have been having a decaf every now and then, and I notice it doesn't make me feel good at all... so I stopped again and if I need a boost, I will make myself a cacao drink (more about this in a separate blog)
It might seem like a tiny thing, but I’m trying not to overwhelm myself by changing everything at once.
Every week, I’ll share something I’m learning, noticing or trying.
Maybe it will help me.
Maybe it will help you.
And maybe we can figure some of this out together. ❤️
